The AJA IPR-10G2-SDI SMPTE ST 2110 IP to SDI Mini-Converter provides monitoring of HD SMPTE ST 2110 signals across 10 GigE to two 3G-SDI outputs. The AJA IPR-10G2-SDI receives SMPTE ST 2110 IP video and audio, then formats the data for output over 3G-SDI. The audio from the video stream is synchronized, extracted, and embedded into the 3G-SDI signal and the output on an analog RCA interface.
This IP Mini-Converter offers two 10 GbE SFP+ cages allowing “hitless switching”, providing redundancy protection for monitoring applications and critical distribution. The IPR-10G2-SDI provides one Reference In via BNC. This is perfect for integrating into existing basebands environments including edit suite, master control and a truck.
The IPR-10G2-SDI extracts an SMPTE ST 2110 from an incoming IP stream and presents it for display on SDI devices. This offers two SFP+ cases for protection with "hitless switching". This IP Mini-Converter is perfect for placement in a wide range of display environments, from studios to fields.
Monitoring ST2110
You can monitor the ST 2110 Video and Audio from anywhere on the Network. The IPR-10G2-SDI is an SMPTE ST 2110 to SDI Mini-Converter suited for point-of-use applications including source monitoring and 3G-SDI output to compatible devices. It offers two 3G-SDI outputs with mirrored source video, so you can drive a display and connect to 3G-SDI simultaneously.
The ST110 3G/1.5G-SDI routers often at capacity while facilities await their transition to IP, there is a huge benefit in being able to send video sources from a feed, camera, router or edit bay via IP and provide SDI monitoring at the destination while feeding your video and audio further
into a 3G-SDI chain.
Workflow
The IPR-10G2-SDI offers 2x SDI outputs from SMPTE ST 2110 video and audio over IP compatible devices. You can combine your IPR-10G2-SDI units with AJA KONA IP (Capture card for desktop workstations). This will allow you to create a real-world ST 2110 workflow for video over IP monitoring and production.
User Control
IPR-10G2-SDI delivers 2x key methods for control. The first method is via LAN Ethernet port that enables control of the Mini-Converter from a web browser on any platform and REST clients. The other method is via a mini-USB connector that has a simple initial network configuration and firmware updates.
Compact and Portable
All AJA Mini-Converters uses a compact design that suitable for tight spaces, around and behind equipment racks, on camera and trucks. This converter has a locking power connector that can't be removed accidentally or pull loose. Another feature is the P-TAP power cable that allows for battery power in remote locations.
