The HDR Image Analyzer is designed to be used wherever required, the 1RU form fits into a range of environments, offering the confidence you need for consistent and predictable HDR production. The HDR Image Analyzer provides tools for effective analysis of the Modern HDR standards, which includes PQ, HLG and Rec.2020. The HDR Image Analyzer by AJA and partnership with Colorfront, offers 4K/UltraHD HDR video in real time with HDR monitoring and analysis software. Moreover, the 1 RU device offers 4x 3G-SDI inputs and 4x 3G-SDI outputs that can support up to 4k/UltraHD resolutions with wide color gamut, high dynamic range and LOG color formats.

The Image Analyzer supports dynamic range inputs as ST 2084, Rec.709 and HLG, BT.2020 and BT.709 color gamuts common in live production, broadcast monitoring, DIT workflow, post production, and final mastering. The software UI is accessible throughout a DisplayPort and USB ports. This gives the users access to tools as histogram, vectorscope, waveform, color gamut, error logging with timecode, data analysis, brightness levels and advanced error detection.

The HDR Analyzer can support up to 16 channels of audio for monitoring with level display. The HDR Analyzer features an audio phase meter that can be configured for stereo or surround display, and it can provide level warnings in your logs for more convenient use.

In addition, the unit features a REF input and 4x DisplayPort connections for monitoring at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60p and 8x 3G-SDI in/out ports. Moreover, there are 3x USB 3.0 and 2x USB 2.0 ports for a keyboard and a mouse control, and also to plug in external drives for offloading log data or upgrading firmware. This unit comes with 2x power cables and 2x redundant 110 VAC power supplies

HDR Image Analyzer makes HDR monitoring look simple and fun. It features a wide range of analysis tools and automatic error logging with timecode stamping, HDR Image Analyzer ensures that your production projects achieve the desired goals and results. The input supports for both leading camera LOG formats as well as SDR, HLG and PQ monitoring from a range of sources. The current cameras are HDR compatible with wide dynamic ranges, live events, recording and broadcasts. HDR Analysis tools and Interface

Camera Log Inputs
Delivers a direct input for a range of Camera LOG inputs, allowing direct connection from multiple brand cameras for instant analysis of production feeds.

Configuration Setups
Your setups can be saved and recalled quickly when switching between projects and tool configurations

Color Space
Different type of color spaces can be used for analysis, for example 709, P3, XYZ, 2020 and camera native color spaces. It features an Auto HDR mode change for automatic HDR color space triggering when possible.

Displays the color saturation of each pixel in the video frame, with the middle of the circle showing a lower saturation level, and the edge of the circle indicating a higher saturation level.

HDR Image Analyzer allows the users to set a white point relevant for the projects when is needed. You can choose between D65, DCI or simply turn off.

False Color – Gamut Warning
Out of Gamut False Color mode offers a clear visual representation of areas of your image that may present a problem. The results can be saved automatically within your logged files for QC needs.

Detects P3 Gamut violations and brightness violations in HDR events and logs them with timestamps in a log file and on the screen. The Log files can then be collected for sharing with your team as necessary.

Audio Metering
An audio meter is provided for up to 16 channels of metered monitoring and display of peak DB levels. An audio phase meter can be configured to display either 2-Ch (stereo) or 8-Ch (surround) audio. Notice that the audio level warnings may be set to generate notes into your logs.

Video Resolution
The user can address video resolution setup with fast access from the Video. The Video resolution menu has an easy access for RGB, YCbCR and Quad split vs 2SI configurations.

Scene Capture
The scenes can be captured for quick recall and save. The captured scenes can be shared with others for a visual representation of any issues that need to be addressed.

Waveform Lumi Color
The HDR Image Analyzer provides a range of views for waveform representations including Waveform Lumi Color. The Waveform Lumi Color delivers a brilliant combination of both luminance and colors in the project’s color space.

Vectorscope Targeting
The vectorscope offers a zoom feature and a skin tone line, whose value can be manually set as desired. This tool is useful for ensuring consistent skin tone results for sequence work and camera matching.

CIE XY Gamut View
In HDR mode the CIE XY Gamut View can be used to check the encoded colors, and whether they are within the valid limit of color range. This is relevant when working in the Rec.2020 color space where the actual pixels are supposed to be limited to the P3 color gamut.

Pixel Picker
Precision is a factor and HDR Image Analyzer make it look simple. Glide your mouse across your footage and use the Pixel Picker to give you a read out of the exact pixels Nit level, Hex or Decimal code values.

Timecode may be overlaid on screen to assist with quickly identifying any areas of concern at particular moments in a sequence or shot.
