The SGM-250MX includes a super-cardioid polar pattern and a custom-designed acoustic tube with high precision phase canceling slots, which results in flat frequency response with outstanding directionality and a large dynamic range. The newly designed electret condenser microphone element has the highest sensitivity and lowest noise level in its class. The SGM-250 features a 3-pin Mini XLR output connector designed for cinema cameras with smaller Mini XLR inputs, such as the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K/6K. The very sensitive condenser portion of the microphone is supplied by conventional 48 V phantom power, which is available from most XLR (Mini included) microphone inputs.
Azden's SMH-X shock mount, which fits to standard size camera shoe slots, as well as 1/4"-20 threaded mounts and tripods, is included with the SGM-250MX. There are also dimension expander sheets provided for global compatibility with ring-clamp style microphone mounting.
