The new Panasonic SW-5583 Blu-ray drive, designed with new native SATA technology, advances beyond the bottleneck of IDE connections and is the first and only Blu-ray burner to reach 4x speed on BD-R 25GB and 50GB media. The new Blu-ray writable (BD-R) and Blu-ray re-writeable (BD-RE) 25GB single layer and 50GB double layer Blu-ray discs allow for storage of data, computer backup, high-definition movies and more.
