MainConcept MPEG Pro HD 3 is the renowned full-featured MPEG and H.264/AVC Plug-In editing solution for Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 and CS3. The latest version now offers also support for XDCAM HD 4:2:0 as well as 4:2:2 in 1920x1080 and 1280x720. Additionally, it includes significant speed improvements for H.264/AVC decoding and MPEG-2 encoding, in order to optimize your editing workflow.
The Plug-In turns MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 editing into a productive, high-quality workflow. It offers many HDV and HDTV project presets for high-definition video editing in its native format. MPEG Pro HD 3 supports the H.264 standard, i.e. you have the opportunity to import as well as export videos in the H.264 format, including presets for AVCHD, Sony PSP and Apple iPod. Moreover, it offers AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) as well as Dolby® Digital 5.1 import and export. It also includes realtime capture to MPEG (depending on your system's capabilities), smart rendering to save time, and many other powerful features.
Versatile Camcorder Support
Beside Sony XDCAM HD support, the new version of MPEG Pro HD 3 now offers full support for the latest Sony XDCAM EX camcorder generation allowing import, editing, and export of such streams – including smart rendering – with Adobe Premiere Pro. To use the MPEG Pro™ HD 3 Plug-in for Adobe® Premiere® Pro, you'll need to make sure that your computer system meets at least these minimum requirements:
Operating systems:
Any PC which meets Adobe's system requirements for Premiere Pro (Windows XP required). MPEG Pro HD 3 requires Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 or CS3 (not included).
For HDV editing, the recommended minimum requirements are an Intel® Pentium® 4 processor 3.06 GHz or faster with Hyper Threading Technology, and 1 GB of RAM.
For HD and AVCHD editing, the recommended minimum requirements are an Intel® DualCore processor 2.4 GHz or faster, and 2 GB of RAM.
Hard drive size:
15 MB free disk space for software installation, enough free disk space for your video material (20 GB or more are recommended)
In addition to these requirements, video editing requires that your system is operating smoothly.
Attention:
Before you start to install the new version of the MPEG Pro HD 3 Plug-in, please uninstall the current one. Additionally, make sure that no other MainConcept program is running during uninstallation or installation.
