Grass Valley Turbo-R iDDR with integrated REV Drive - Core Microsystems 800.886.2752
Turbo Intelligent Digital Disk Recorder
Grass Valley Turbo iDDR is a new class of VTR replacement, tailored to the unique demands of the professional presentation industry. A cost-effective, compact digital recording, editing, and playback device, Turbo is designed for immediate productivity and will reshape the way you look at your infrastructure investment.
Since the Turbo iDDR is a professional media recording and playback device which fits right into your existing ProAV environment, you can load content as audio and video, or as files from removable media, such as the Iomega REV drives and media. Best of all, if you are creating content on desktop systems, the Turbo iDDR can sit right on the same network and exchange content at high speeds. Whether your application is in events and staging, presentation and communication, corporate networks, houses of worship, or distance learning, the Turbo iDDR will transform the way you work now, and increase your productivity in the future.
Do the Work of Three VTRs Simultaneously
By managing and selecting media clips, clip editing and trimming, and playout including playlist creation, the Turbo iDDR is a complete AV center within itself. It offers two playout channels for independent editing and previewing, or for delivering content to two different display systems simultaneously. And either or both of the outputs can be played out with HD and SD content on the same playlist. At the same time you can record into the Turbo iDDR, including connectivity from a camera or other media source through IEEE 1394 FireWire, removable storage devices, USB 2.0, and data transfer over standard Gigabit Ethernet networks.
Multiple Modes of Operation
Turbo is designed to give operators a choice in how it is run. You can drive the whole operation from the Turbo iDDR itself, via the interactive LCD touchscreen, playback control buttons, and the ultra-smooth Jog/Shuttle wheel.
If you're more familiar with a PC environment, you can attach a standard PC monitor, keyboard and mouse and switch into Workstation Mode, accessing all of the Turbo units controls within an easy-to-use application window.
Workstation mode has been quickly adopted by Events and Staging professionals, as it offers an easy-to-use "Show Control Interface" that easily replaces what used to only be achievable with VTRs. It allows the operator to create dynamic playlists that can include pauses after clips play, looping sections, and easy clip rearranging, even while the playlist is playing out.
Use Turbo Anywhere
The Turbo iDDR easily fits into existing workflows and infrastructures and is designed for a variety of applications such as events and staging, distance education, presentation and communication, production, and many other professional video applications.
