With sustained performance of 300 Mbytes per second and 9.6 TB of raw capacity, the DiMeda 1724 can support SD and lower resolution HD non-linear video applications, global command and control applications and many other high performance computing applications.

The DiMeda 1724 provides four Gigabit Ethernet connections, which allow it to be easily integrated existing Ethernet networks. But it is architected to support 10Gigabit Ethernet. So when higher performance is needed, the 1724 can be upgraded so support 10Gigabit Ethernet for the highest levels of performance.

Seamless Interoperability
Utilizing pervasive Gigabit Ethernet infrastructures, DiMeda supports centralized file sharing between Windows and Mac clients via CIFS/SMB, and UNIX clients (i.e., Solaris, Irix, Linux) via NFS. The DiMeda allows multiple users to simultaneously capture, process and share large, rich media files between workstations, servers, back-up and archival systems. DiMeda eliminates the need to maintain local file copies eliminating file synchronization and sharing issues. All of this is accomplished without any client side filesharing software licenses or specialized storage only network infrastructures.

High Availability plus Affordability
Access to your data is always preserved with the DiMeda via its utilization of RAID technology to protect all disk drives. The latest Serial ATA disk technology is used to provide exceptional bandwidth and enable hot swap substitution of drives should a failure occur. Redundant power supplies and cooling modules also eliminate many potential single points of failure, ensuring access to your data is never interrupted.

Easy to Use Device Management Software
DiMeda’s Web Manager software provides for installation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance locally or remotely over the network. Web Manager’s HTML-based software is platform and operating system independent. Intuitive, graphical interfaces and embedded online help make managing the DiMeda extremely easy. Advanced monitoring features include network management for multiple DiMedas, e-mail event notification, real-time performance and capacity utilization information.

Optional Storage Management Features
Storage Quota Services protects your critical users by implementing quotas that define their available storage capacity. When users are reaching their quota, the system will issue a warning, allowing users and administrators to take remedial action before exceeding their assigned capacity limit.

Remote Folder Synchronization
Remote protects your critical data by automatically maintaining a synchronized copy of your data on another IP attached file server. Remote Folder Synchronization can be used for a one-time data migration or to provide point-intime remote copies to aid disaster recovery.
