Avid VideoRAID ST disk array is Avid's next generation SATA- based direct attached storage solutions. Avid VideoRAID ST offer maximum flexibility, performance and value in today's demanding HD environments. Avid has a configuration option to meet almost any local storage need. Latest technology SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) interconnect provides simple plug and play setup, while parity RAID (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) prevents losing media because of a failed drive. Raw capacities range from 2.5TB to 5TB per editing system. Avid VideoRAID ST have enough bandwidth to provide real-time playback of uncompressed HD media, even during drive failure rebuild mode, making these ultra-high performance disk arrays a perfect match for Avid's latest generation of editing applications.
VideoRAID ST keep you working and your project on track - no more downtime, no more excuses.

Fail-safe protection of content
Real-time parity RAID goes beyond conventional RAID protection for even greater peace of mind. With Avid VideoRAID ST /SR, a disk drive failure is not a catastrophic event. The system will continue to operate without data loss and at full performance should a drive fail within the unit. This enables the completion of work in progress without requiring immediate drive replacement.
Full performance during drive rebuild
If an Avid VideoRAID ST drive failure does occur, simply swap out the bad drive module and the array will automatically begin a background reconstruction. Costly downtime is eliminated since the system is fully functional (at full performance) during the rebuild process. Once the rebuild is completed, Avid VideoRAID resumes full content protection.
Removable controllers, drives, and power supplies
Field-replaceable components can be easily removed, making service a snap and maximizing uptime. Quick job changes can be made by simply swapping drive modules.
Optimized for use with Avid editing systems and software
The Avid VideoRAID ST has been rigorously tested with Avid editing systems and software for guaranteed configuration support. Optimized performance and reliability maximizes productive time in the field. The VideoRAID ST is supported for various applications.
Outstanding warranty policy
A three-year warranty on the drive mechanisms and the enclosure offer added security. To minimize downtime, during the warranty period replacements parts are supplied in advance and at no additional cost (current Avid Support contract required for advance replacement).
